messages to the teacher and other functions. |
The v-Class Teacher allows the teachers to use the

Through a Login window the teacher can enter v-Class Teacher and choose which Class Model he wants to activate. The Class Model is the list of the students in a class. If there is not a login account for the teacher, he can create a new one through the Register button. The Profile window allows the teacher to create or modify his login account. After entering v-Class Teacher, the teacher has access to its functions. Some of them can be executed even if there is no student connected to the class. When the Main window is displayed, the students in the active Class Model will be disconnected and their images will be displayed in gray color. When the students connect to the teacher's class, their images will be displayed in colors. New students can be included in the teacher’s class if the active Class Model is not locked. Otherwise, new students connection requests will be rejected. The teacher can create many Class Models. The Class Model defines the list of students that will be automatically accepted by the teacher when they request connection if the Class Model is active. A Class Model can be created, modified, deleted, exported to a file or imported from a file. The teacher can send one or more files to the students computers. He can select the file and start the transfer. A status column in the File Transfer window indicates if the file was successfully transmitted or if there was a failure. The teacher can show his display in the students computers. To do this, he uses the Manage Displays window, and select the students that he wants to send his presentation. In the student's computer, the student will see all actions that the teacher is doing. The teacher can also view what the student is doing in his computer. To do this, he must monitor the student using the Manage Displays window. The teacher can also view what all students in class are doing, using the Class Monitor function, through the Manage Displays window. The teacher can use the Remote Commands function to open or close applications in the students computers, open a browser with a specific URL (Internet address), execute pre-defined commands such as reboot the student's computer or even type a command to be executed. The teacher can block the student’s computer using the Silence Computer function. The video, mouse and keyboard of the student’s computer will be blocked. Using the Tests and Quizzes window, the teacher can create a test, apply this test to the students and then evaluate the student’s answers. The teacher can also apply an instant quiz for the students to answer one question immediately. The Chat Groups function allows the teacher to create discussion groups. The teacher can name this groups and select which student will be in each group. After the groups are created, the students in the group can talk with each other through text messages and can also talk with the teacher. Besides the Chat Groups function, the teacher can also send text messages to the students, and the students can talk to the teacher, through the Text Messages function in the Main window.
If the PolicyControl is installed in the teacher's
computer, he can also create policies and apply them to the
students computers. These policies can allow or restrict Internet
